Foreign Currency Revaluation Program- FAGL_FCV vs FAGL_FC_VALUATION

Hi Experts,

We have moved to New GL recently and all the configuration for Currency Revaluation and Translation have been completed.

Foreign Currency Revaluation using t-code- FAGL_FC_VAL now points to the New Program - FAGL_FCV instead of the older program- FAGL_FC_VALUATION.

Need your input on the below issues-

  1. What all additional features have been added to the new Program FAGL_FCV and how is it different from the old Program - FAGL_FC_VALUATION for Foreign Currency Revaluation.
  2. We also need to do a comparative Analysis of the Program FAGL_FC_VALUATION vs FAGL_FCV. How do we create relevant test data for the old program FAGL_FC_VALUATION since the new Program FAGL_FCV is now active on our systems.
  3. Can you confirm, if for each client the new Program for Foreign Currency Revaluation - FAGL_FCV has to be Run once using the T code- FAGL_FCV. From the subsequent Run the T code- FAGL_FC_VAL points to the new Program FAGL_FCV instead of the old program- FAGL_FC_VALUATION.

Please advise and thanks in advance.

    Hi Pranay

The new report FAGL_FCV is the redesigned version of the foreign

currency valuation program delivered with EHP5. From the business

perspective the program is creating the same valuation postings (for

open items and G/L balances) like the previous report FAGL_FC_VALUATION.

Not only does program FAGL_FCV comprise all of the functions offered by

program FAGL_FC_VALUATION, it also offers additional functions.

Once you have performed the program in an update run in a given client,

the system automatically launches program FAGL_FCV the next time that

    program FAGL_FC_VALUATION is called.

    I hope I could help.

    Best regards,

    Erika
