Hi, how do I identify a transport as running? I dont see any entries in TRBAT and TRJOB, while my import monitor shows that its running. It also updates the SLOGS. In OS, I see tp process running. Since TRBAT and TRJOB are not showing, am suspecting issues. Can someone help?

If you are already in transcation STMS import monior you will already see one/ more tp process .
[The idea is to log off from all STMS transactions and check in the OS level , you can identify the work process and also monitor the dev_w* trace files ].
Please check /usr/sa/trans/tmp (*) and /usr/sap/trans/log ( ALOG , SLOG ) files .
Thanks ,
Manu

HI Jim
A transport runs a tp command at OS level, you can check there for the PID. Also you can check /usr/sap/trans/tmp for the transport logs while the transport is running.

you can look for an active job (RDDIMPDP) in tcode sm37 it could be hung,
in tcode sm50 you can look for a backgroud process to identify if still running in that case you can kill the process
Best regards
