BPC on HANA - License

Hi,

I have a few questions

My client has BW 7.0 on BPC 7.5 Neweaver. We had a client merger and the sister company runs BW 7.4 on HANA (platform license).

We are planning to upgrade from BPC 7.5 to 10.1 classic.Client wants to leverage HANA that is  already in place.

1. Does BPC require a HANA platform or enterprise license.
2. Can HANABPC 10.1 add on be added on the existing HANA box with the existing platform license.
3. Can additional HANA unit/appliance be added just to support BPC (keeping the sister company's HANA untouched) with the existing platform license.

Hi,

1. You need BPC license, on top of HANA license.

2. Yes, you can add on to existing HANA box, but you have to make sure the combination of your existing and BPC will run smoothly in the HANA box, ie, redo sizing exercise.

3. depends on your hardware if more blade can be added. if your hardware supports then you can add more space.
