Hi,
I know one can save an Analysis 2.0 workbook as 1.x workbook in BO Platform/ folders by enabling SupportSaveAs1x= True in Ao_app.config file and enable checkbox " Save as 1.X format" in saving dialog box in Analysis when one chooses to save workbook in BO platform /folders.
Is there any way to save the 2.0 as 1.x by directly saving as 1.x in local machine by going "File> Save As" option?
Is it possible ? If possible what are the settings and where should one make?
Thanks,
Regards,
Pramod.
Hi Puthenpurayil Sivadas,
No Its not possible to save 2.0 Workbook as 1.x in locally
Workaround :
save 2.0 workbook as1.4, and then use 1.4 installer to save to locally(i know its not a good option, i do see only this is only option currently for your requirement)
Thanks & Regards,
Subhash

Hi,
I our team , we enabled the check mark in "Save workbooks in 1.4 format by default " in analysis 2.0 and we were able to open and refresh it in 1.4 analysis.
analysis 2.0 is a patch 2.0 . How come it is working ?
Connections are based on BO connections and not on Netweaver. it was a surprise for us.
Hi Pramod,
i did not got your question, but answer is present in your question only
You are using an option "Save workbooks in 1.4 format by default ", it means you can save workbooks in 1.4 Using 2.x installer
because you saved workbooks in 1.4, workbook will work normally in 1.x installer either it is Net weaver or BIP 🙂

Hi Venkat,
Till now my understanding was that one will not be able to save 1.x analysis from analysis 2.0 locally directly. To save as 1.4 one need to save in BIP.
One will not be able to open an 2.0 analysis workbook in 1.4 but it is possible vice versa.
to use 2.0 as 1.4 one had to convert it to 1.4 by save in BIP but not in local desktop as per your previous comments.
but is seems that one can do save workbook directly in local desktop and not going thru in BIP server by clicking "save as 1.x format" in advance settings. Earlier the checkbox got disabled while saving in local machine.
I was wondering how it is possible and patch in sp2.
