Clarification needed - Re order point planning

Dear Experts,

Need clarification on the mentioned scenario

MRP type VB

Lot size HB

Re order point - 1000

Max stock level - 5000

when the stock falls below 1000 system creates Schedule line to the Vendor. This schedule line is released to the vendor.

say stock is 900, system creates 4100 as schedule line to the vendor.

As the stock reduces everyday and also the MRP runs every day additional schedules are created to the supplier before he could deliver the first schedule

day 2: if the stock falls to 700 the existing schedule line is modified and it becomes 4300.

Now the vendor got 4100 as first schedule and on day 2 he got a change of +200

when the vendor supplies the rawmaterials he sends 4100 on day 10 and on day 11 he sends another 200 ( say the purchasing lead time is 10 days )

on day 10 when the MRP runs again the stock now is more than the re-order point and so the schedule line of 200 gets cancelled.

this is the problem. This doesnot happen if Purchasing delivery time < frozen zone in MM SA, But if the Delivery time > Frozen zone then the system cancells the second schedule.

Now this second schedule is also released to the vendor. But in MD04 this is not shown. Hence the plant does not have the visibility of the pending schedules. Also when the Vendor supplies back this 200 pcs system considers this is over delivery. But ideally this is what we sent to the vendor initially.

so the requirement is that the system should not delete the schedules which is already released to the supplier. is there any setting for the same.

Need advice on this topic. thanks

thanks and regards

I think that, if the frozen zone is always > than the delviery time, you would avoid this issue.

Did you try with firming them?If those schedule lines were firmed then MRP would not delete.
