Dunning letters through FPCOPARA

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement to avoid printing dunning letter for specific dunning level and dunning procedure when FPCOPARA is scheduled.

we using print workbench and configured a smartform to print dunning letters after FPCOPARA.

Currently i am checking at the user exit include provided at the application form and raising an exception at the form to stop sending the form to spool.

But can anyone suggest a cleaner way of doing this?

requirement is to suppress sending the form to spool for specific dunning procedure/Dunning level.

I was looking at the EVENT 705 .But it is not triggered during debugging FPCOPARA.

any help appreciated.

Thanks & regards,

Anjan

FQEVENT 705 is for the creation of Dunning letter; the output event for correspondence type 0003 is 704...

Still, it's a really bad idea to keep producing correspondences that are actually not needed, and it's a bad idea to unnecessarily "hide" the decision whether correspondence needs to be produced in event 705. If the conditions for creating/not creating letter are as simple as you suggest, why not simply define Dunning activity (with Function module) that will not create a correspondence and assign it to dunning procedure/level?

    In fact, you don't even need to create own function module if you are on ISU system, there is ISU_DUNNING_EMPTY_ACTIVI_0350 provided by SAP;

Hi Anjan, If these dunningletter are not required. Isn't it a better solution to adjust the dunningproces and prevent the letter being generated? Bas

Also: use OKcode "DBUG" to force debugging on FPCOPARA

    Hi Anjan,

To start with, you should opt for a proactive approach of restricting the filling of the correspondence cluster tables, during the dunning activity for the specific dunning level, rather than a reactive approach to restrict it at FPCOPARA.

Check the FM, that is asssigned to the dunning activity for the particular dunning level and remove it from the config.

The next time you execute the dunning run, for the level, it will not fill up the correspondence cluster tables and so FPCOPARA wil not have anything to pick it up in the first place.

    Hope it helps...

    Thanks

    Amlan

    Hi Anjan,

Why don't you use the dunning data node that's part of the appl form & uset it in the start_exit routine. You can use 'exit' of your condition is satisfied.

    Hi Bastiaan,

Thanks for your time... i have debugged it using DBUG.

But i could not find a location where i would have details of dunning level/BP/dunning procedure and also a location where i have control to stop printing the dunning form:-(

So only location i have access of both would be in the exit of the application form... where i can pre check all conditions if it needs an email trough PI or just a normal dunning letter print.

But i am not sure if its the right way. But it works as expected.

    Thanks for your time.

    Thanks Ricky.

    Cheers,

    An

    Hi Anjana,

If you don't want to print the letters then you can remove the Form for correspondence from specific Dunning Procedure/Level from "Define Dunning Activity" configuration.capture.png

    Thanks
