Navigation form Result Set iview to Item Details iview

Hello,

Is it possible to navigate from the MDM ResultSet iView by clicking on the Category Link or the Part Number to display of the Item Details IView? If yes, how?

Hello Dharmi:

I have managed to interact between MDM iViews by just joining them on a same Page/workset. Please consider that all the iViews should be pointing to the same SystemAlias, Table and same credentials too. There should be no problems.

If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for the response. I should have actually given you 10 points cos that answers the question that I had. I did the same way but the question that I had was "Can we navigate from the resultset which is in one page and you can go to the next page where the item details can be displayed?" Cos there are already other iviews on the same page and it kind of looks too much content (all filled up)

Hello:

Maybe you could open a "pop-up" where all the selected data is displayed. I'm not a Portal expert, however, I believe this could be done. Anyway, I believe this would be a matter of Portal Administration, rather than MDM. I will keep researching about this subject, and I'll post my experience, since this is quite a good question.

Hi,

Let say you have 2 Pages.

Page 1 : Resultset iView, Search iview.

Page 2 : Item Details iview.

Create a role lets say "MDM Role".

Add these to pages to the MDM Role as Delta Link. In the role object properties, select "Entry Point" as "Yes".

Assign the created role ("MDM Role") to the portal user.

Select any record from the Resultset iView, which is on the first page. Then you naviigate to the second page, which has the Item details. You will be able to see the item details for the selected record in the resultset iview from the first page.

Note: By clicking the record in the result iview does not navigate directly to the page where Item details are there.
