R/3-XI-APO data migration

Former Member

Hi! I am trying to send Product Activity Notification ( IDOC PROACT01) from a backend R/3 system to APO using XI. I am using XI adapter and have followed the configurations provided in the configuration manual. For mapping I have used the standard mapping provided in the scm content. Now, when I type the url mentioning the apo server ip address and port number followed by path prefix eg

(http://(APO server ip address):8000/sap/xi/engine?type=receiver) on a web browser, i get the message page not found. i have checked that the services sap, xi and the engine are running on the server. Therefore I cannot get the data eg stock details (idoc proact01) on the apo server. How can I troubleshoot this?

Hi,

did you check if 8000 is really the HTTP port of your APO Server? Normally it is 80+SysNo, so 8000 is normally for system with System number 00. Check in transaction smicm --> Goto --> Services for the correct HTTP port.

Best regards

Are you getting any http error code like 204,500,502 etc.

If yes send the http error code.

Hi,

Can be a port issue:

HTTP 404 File not found:

Check the sender/inbound file-adapter configuration. In particular, the

parameter XMB.TargetURL often references the J2EE Port (usually 50000)

instead of the SAP NetWeaver AS port. You have to use the port that can be

found in transaction SMICM by choosing Goto -->Services.

<i>404 Not Found

The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.

This is for intregation error code 404.

Hi,

Then the only option that i can think is load,

Please refer sap note 821026.

Note Topic "AdapterEngine messaging URL returns HTTP 401 under high load"

All the best,

Was there a solution for this problem? The issue here seems to be that the local IE on APO is not set up correctly. I faced the same problem and was fixed when the local integration engine was brought up by the BASIS guys by going through teh post install process.. For more info look at the link below.
