Here's an easier way to do this....

1.  Put a text box on your report in the same type of section as your data, Expand the width of the text box to be the width of the report.

2.  Right-click on the text box, select the Format option, and turn OFF Can Grow.

3.  Drag the first field into the text box.

4.  Press the Tab key to put a tab after it.

5.  Drag the next field into the text box.

6.  Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all of the fields are in the text box.

This report will not necessarily display well - fields won't necessarily line up in neat columns - but it will export like you want it to.

Also note that TTX format is being deprecated so you should export to XML which is a more current standard supported format.

Hi Shalni,

  1. On the View menu, click Field Explorer. The Field Explorer dialog box appears.
  2. Right-click the formula you want to edit and choose Edit. The Formula Workshop appears with the Formula Editor active.
  3. On the Expressions Editor Toolbar, click Find or Replace to open a Find dialog box. From this dialog box, you can search and replace text within the Formula text box.
  4. Enter the text that you want to search for.
  5. Select Edit Text from the Search list.
  6. If you want to mark all occurrences of the search text, click Mark All.
  7. If you want to replace all occurrences of the search text with the contents of the "Replace with" text box, click Replace All.

then export it to TTF.

Hi Istvan,

Thanks for your effort but let me elaborate my question little more.

Actually, double quotes are coming around the strings after exporting it into Tab separated text file so i can't choose 'Replace All' option suggested by you.

My requirement is to pull a report which is tab separated and having no quotes.

Thanks Shalni
