Data Refresh in Lumira Server for BI Platform

Hi all,

We created a Universe on SAP HANA table, made a Lumira story (Lumira1.25) using 'Extension for universe' on the same universe and finally saved the Lumira document on BI Platform (Lumira Server for BI Platform installed).

Now if I click the refresh button on the story data gets refreshed, but I dont want to this manually.

'Either data refresh must be scheduled at particular interval of time' OR 'Story must me saved as refresh on open'

Kindly suggest me in this regards.

Hi Nitesh,

In Lumira server for BI Platform 1.25

• Schedule is supported for UNX based Lumira documents. Hence, you should be able to schedule such a document.
• As on today 'Refresh on Open' is not an option for any of the lumira documents. However, this is expected to come in future releases. I would suggest you go ahead and request this on SAP Lumira: Home

Hi Ashutosh,

I tried to schedule the report, The schedule successfully gets completed but when I open my Lumira document It shows the same old data.

on the other hand if I refresh manually on the story itself I can see the refreshed data.

Hey,

I think I know the problem you are getting into - As on today smart view option is not available for lumira documents. Which means when you open the document even after schedule you get to see the document itself and not its instance unlike Webi.

If you want to look for instance then you should right click the document, go to history option and then open the latest instance from there.

In the upcoming releases of Lumira server for BIP you can expect the following

• right click on lumira document and you see 'view latest instance' option
• smart view option to enable opening of instance on double click of document like webi
