Dear Vivek

Is SAP SOP 3.0 Powered By HANA is same as BIP / SCM and it belongs to SAP Integrated

Business Planning only? If any questions regarding SAP SOP need to post in this SAP IBP only.

Hi Sri,

SOP3.0 is earlier release of IBP. However, there is one diffrence, SOP is available both on-premise and on-demand where IBP is only available on-demand.

Yes, you can post your question related to SOP on this forum.

IBP is a platform that supports a couple of applications, such as "IBP for SOP", "IBP for Demand", "IBP for Supply", "IBP for Control Tower" etc

The very only reason to concentrate on SOP 3 is if you want to have your own system

In any other cases, IBP is newest solution and currently only in the Cloud

All is on HANA, it was specifically newly create based on HANA

You can compare with APO: Originally system was called APO until APO 3.x. THan system got enhanced and was called SCM, which included APO as part of it

Very latest release is IBP 5, for which the webui makes use of Fiori, so look & feel is very different from IBP 4

For both, user interface for planning is an excel add on
