Adjust Schedule of next Planned Order

Dear All,

We have a requirement from the users to have scheduling like this.

For example, we have 3 Planned Order, A, B, and C.

All of them use same work center.

A is scheduled from Day 1 - 10

B is scheduled from Day 11 - 20

C is scheduled from Day 21 - 30

if A is now changed to be scheduled from Day 1 - 9, then B can be adjusted automatically to Day 10 - 19, and C to Day 20 - 29.

Is there any way to do this in SAP?

Appreciate your comment and feedback.

Useful reply will be rewarded.

Thanks,

Steve

Hello Steve,

No, this is not possible since the 'Fix time period' function is only planned for the current planning session in order to simplify the planning.

If you exit the planning table you will lose the fixed time period.

In the capacity planning table, a planning continuously with regard to time is possible. This means that a sequence planning is possible here. as No sequence planning is provided from the design.

You can use the background

dispatching by CM40 the planned orders are dispatched in the correct sequence per PLAF-SEQNR. and choose "Dispatch at earliest point in time" in the strategy profile. use this indicator, it pulls all planned orders in back-to-back-to-back, with no gaps.

In foreground you can do this in CM25 or CM21

Hi Rupesh,

How can we set the sequence number (PLAF - SEQNR)?

Can we set it up in the sales order?

Thanks,
Steve

Steve,

You need to do capacity levelling for remaining 2 orders once first order dates were adjusted so that system would fit remaining orders in available capacity days.

Try with CM25/CM28.
