Exporting custom monitoring templates

Hello,

Is it possible to export custom monitoring templates from one server and import it onto a different server running the same SSM version?

When you create a template it request you a transport. I you do not have that transport. In the Technical Monitoring configuration at the top right corner you have a button "Generate Request" there you can choose if you want to transport one specific custom tamplate or all the custom template.

Hello Juan,

I generated a request containing all Custom Templates (even with a Package) and when I import any of the versions on my other system, the list is still blank.

If I manually create a Custom Template and do "Content Check" I get a ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY dump.

Any ideas?

Content version is the same in both systems? have you try create the transport including the content version?

Hello,

No different versions, one is 10 another is 12. I try to update the 10 one it says it has 10 again.    

No, I have not, how can I do that?

It's the first option when you click on generate transport, you have 5 options the 1st one maybe include something or at least should ensure that hte content is the same.

Sorry I have done this then, but I'm trying to import from 10 to a 12 Content Server and it didn't seem to work.

I also cannot seem to update the CS version, it downloads 10 and stays on 10.

Any suggestions?

Edit:

This is what happens when I try the 1st/2nd option, I got "xxx has no package" and it asks me to solve it. Although I do not know how to proceed towards the solution.

Hi,

Are you trying to upgrade the latest Technical Monitoring Content for your Solution Manager SP level? To do so go to step 2.7 in the Technical monitoring setup?

Hi,

That is correct.

The latest version it finds for me is 10, while on another server I maintain is running on 12.

I'll check and confirm the SSM+SP versions between both servers.

I'll post back results.

Here are both versions, I believe I need to update the SP on the 1st one.

I can't seem to paste images here, so I'll attach them.
