Hi Experts,

We are using the SMP 3.0 SP 05 and Agentry 7.0.5 to run the SAP Syclo Work Manager.

Successfully we develop the application (including few costume development also) and deploy in to the windows based hand held device. The issue we are facing is the SAP Work Manager application responding very slow on device.

We are using the high configuration Windows Based handheld device, (Windows 7 professional, Intel Atom N2600 1.6GHz Dual Core Processor,  4GB RAM, 64GB Hard disk). Using the agentry client version 7.0.5_(which coming from SMP 3,0 Sp05 SDK folder)The Devices receiving around 150 notification and around 500 work order.

When user click on any tab the application will take a several minute to navigate to that tab. Users are experiencing slow response of application.

Can any one tell me how to improve the application response on mobile devices.

Thanks

Regard

Chigari

Chigari,

Have you tried the device and application using a smaller data set?  A large reason for the slowness is the volume of data I suspect you have.  I would start there and see how it performs.  I would also try the same application and data volume on a full laptop for comparison.

Hi Bill Thanks for response,

Yes!!! the device & application using a smaller data set is working faster. Our client want to receive large volume of data. Every day receive at least 150 notification & 100 work order, the application must have capability to hold at least 200 notif & 500 order(including pending notif & order).

The mobile configuration almost equeal to my laptop configuration. The application working faster on laptop compare to mobile device. But I dont know whats wrong it performing very slow on mobile device.

More input help me to resolve this issue.

Hi,

As Bill mentioned it is because of the huge data volumes. I think you need to consider some fundamental questions (some of which I can think of)

1. If there about 500 work orders on the device how would the end-users know which orders to execute.

2. Do they execute all the 500 work orders in a day (I doubt this is case)

3. Can you schedule the work orders to be released either weekly or some other mechanism to reduce the number of work orders on the device at any given time?

4. The most basic question to ask the business is why do they need so many orders on the Device?
