How to find the Idoc Message type for standard extractors

Hello experts,

Is there a way we can find out the Idoc Message type used for each standard extractor of SAP BW, say for example the Idoc carrying data for 2LIS_02_ITM will be different from the Idoc carrying data for 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL. How do we get the technical names of these Idocs?

What I am trying to find out here is, if I know the Idocs that get the data for each DS, can I use the same Idocs to push data into 3rd part ETL tools that accept Idocs from SAP ECC like Datastage.

Is this viable?

Hi,

First we need to find idoc number and later find idoc message type.

From info pack monitor, if you select idoc processing option at detailes tab.

at status bar you may see the idoc number.

Later at Tx - WE02, we can explore about idoc message type details.

Take IDOC/ abap expert, he will be helpful.
