Issue with refreshing listbox with prompts

Hi,

I created report where I have prompts, crosstable and listbox. When I selected value in prompt , crosstable refreshed but listbox shows all values. How can I show only associated value in Listbox?

My Data Source is Bex query and in Bex query I checked posted value and only posted values for navigation.

Hi,

I used direct binding in the listbox and via scripting too, both way don't work. I need associated dimensions members in the listbox becouse in the prompts the user, for example can filter the field YearMonth but he don't have to filter the field Projects, and than he needs the listbox Projects in the layout.

Dear Mustafa,

I had the same problem and I added datasource by direct binding and via scripting and it is not work...for example filter line works properly but components from basic not work.

Dimesion members are displated at listbox because user needs that filter to analyze.

Hi Magda,

The important point to be aware of in your scenario is that the Crosstab is populated by the data source result set, which is influenced by the prompt but the listbox is populated based on master data which is not influenced by the prompt. Hence the outcome you have experienced is expected.

How are you populating the listbox by the way, via scripting or by direct binding to the data source?

Can you explain why you need the dimension members displayed in a listbox if you are using a prompt for filtering?

did you use the data binding option in the listbox? and is the data source that fills the listbox also being filtered by the variable?
