hi,  we tried to test pb12 on win8 pc (currently we have pb8 running on win8).  We have tried the process in win7 envionment by running the msi file and copy the all dll and exe for the application and it runs successfully.  but with win 8  please see attahced doco

Hello Jenny,

Just for your information, Windows 8 is not a supported platform for Powerbuilder 12

Anyway, you're facing a known issue: some Microsoft files need to be present in the target compyter prior to run the msi file which registers some Powerbuilder libraries behind the scenes:

Note 1921056:PowerBuilder - Running .MSI results in pbjvm125.dll failed to register
