Hi,
I want to create a role for HANA user , where it can do everything except altering passwords of other user.
Which privilege restricts this?
Thanks & Regards,
Pranjal
Hi Pranjal, what do you mean by everything?
1. There is no role or privilege which can restrict a user from changing its own password. Even if you remove all it's priveleges it will be able to change it's own password.
2. To restrict the user not to change other users password you need to remove 'USER ADMIN' privelege but remember that will restrict him to do any user admin activities as well. In specific there is no specific privilege to restrict the users. from changing passwords
Happy HANA, Deepak.
