Reorder point planning in apo

Dear Experts

I am planning consumption based plan in sapapo .

My finished material is having 2 level BOM . I have maintained Mrp type as x0 Lot size as EX and reorder point for 2000 ,consumption mode 2 Backward consumption 10 Forward consumption 99 in mrp3 and I have cifed material to APO changes have been replicated in APO

When I am running planning heuristics sap-PP-007 .Planned order are not getting generated in correct order multiple planned order are getting generated .

And also charcterstics are missing while generating planned order like width length colour etc

How to over come this ??

Regards

Virender

    Hi Virender,

    I hope you scenario is not from the below (as you mentioned width, colour etc.) as we cannot use this heuristic for reorder point planning;

    o For make-to-order production

    o For configurable products

o In the quota arrangement heuristic

    o For planning product interchangeability

    (standard explanation from heuristic itself)

Plus it doesn't consider various parameters (though I guess you are not using them):

    o Safety time

    o Safety stock

o Target days' supply and safety days' supply

    o Maturation time

o Use total receipts and Use total stock

Note: Since existing requirements are not considered in reorder point planning, the algorithm may create procurement proposals with which too much or too little is procured, or procurement is too early.

I would suggest you to go through the standard information for this heuristic and consider whether this will meet your business requirement.

Let me know if it helped.

    Regards

    Rahul

    • Hi Virender,

Not sure what do you mean by "not in sequence"? Could share with some screen shot with comparison with ECC.

Example as per your data I expect 20K order in ECC starting with todays date and ending in future considering in-house time from material master (just as an example).
