Hi ,
I am going to Install clustering for the Information Platform Services . This is same as BI system and called as mini BI use it for SAP Data Services and Information Steward .
I have Installed on one system . I want to make the FRS location to both servers . I created one shared folder from server 1 and gave this path in the Configurations in CMC for both servers .
But it is throwing error in the InputFileRepository & OutputFileRepository of the 2nd sever.
I am getting the error as shown below .
There is an error with the current configuration. Correct the configuration and restart the server.
The requested directory does not exist.
I gave the File Store Directory and File Store Directory as \\SAPDS\FileStore\Input and \\SAPDS\FileStore\Input\temp for InputFileRepository and \\SAPDS\FileStore\output and \\SAPDS\FileStore\output\temp for outputFileRepository
I can access the location from my second system using windows explorer.
Please help me how to resolve this issue.
Thanks & Regards,
Ramana.
Hi Ramana,
I was getting same error on our input and output file repository servers too when local system account was pointed to SIA. I have solved this problem by changing user account that runs SIA servers on the server. I have just pointed domain user that has administrator rights to SIA and it worked without any error.
Thanks.

Hi Ramana,
1. Configuring the File Repository Server (FRS) - Business Intelligence (BusinessObjects) - SCN Wiki
2. BI platform 4.0 cluster configuration - Business Intelligence (BusinessObjects) - SCN Wiki
I hope the above is useful to you.

István

Hi ,
I can access the files from shared location . Files in the different server . I have checked the placeholders and updates according to the configuration file . But Still showing error for temp file . Please find the below screenshots for the configuration file ,place holders and errors.
Still I am unable to understand what is the configuration error .
Given directory name and configuration setting name is same . Where it went wrong?
Please guide me how to fix this issue ?
Thanks & Regards,
Ramana.
You'd need to uncheck the "System Account" used in SIA in CCM and provide a domain account that is in Local Admin group and has write right to the BO installation folder on the cluster nodes. Better to have this domain account to take ownership and FULL rights on the BO installation folder.
Then, apply Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Local Security Policy
- select Local Policies -> User Rights Assignment
- double click "Lock pages in memory", add users and/or groups
Replace Process Level Token Policy.
Adjust memory quotas for a process.
Access this computer from the network
Act as part of the Operating System
Log on as a batch job Log on as a service.
Note that Access this computer from the network is what you need and you might as well add them all if you have not done so.
The reason is without
- Replace Process Level Token Policy - Log on as a batch job. - Adjust memory quotas for a process. - Access this computer from the network Error: "The Program Object reported an error while running, but no error code was provided." when running the Program Job Server as a Domain User account - metric refresh fails on http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1201807
- Log on as a service Fail to start Central Management Server (CMS) and other services from Server Intelligence Agent (SIA) on http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1356143
- Act as part of the Operating System In order to support AD and Kerberos, the service account needs the right to act as part of the operating system.
Hope this helps,
Jin-Chong
Hi Ramana,
Please log on to the second server with the Domain account with which the SIA is running and check if you can access the Shared location.
Also make sure the DOMAIN ACCOUNT has "Full Control" on the Folders.

If the FRS paths are accessible from Server2 then it should accept in CMC as well, by any chance if you are copying the paths and pasting in CMC then try to manually mention the paths (do not copy paste)...Please share your findings..

Hi Arun,
I have tried the same but I am facing the same issue.
My two servers in work group and not in the domain. I can access the file using file sharing. If I am trying to give permissions to the server 2 user , it is not listing down the server 2 users.
If servers not in the domain , any problem for clustering ? Both servers are in workgroup.
Thanks & Regards,
Ramana.
Hi
In the client environment they SAN disk for the common storage for the two systems . But I am testing in our company . For that purpose I am using one shared folder for common location .
My both servers in workgroup and not in the domain. I can access the share folder and I can read & write the files also . I can access from widows explorer from server2 also.
Please find the attached screenshots for reference.
Please suggest me to resolve this issue.
Thanks & Regards,
Ramana.
