Adding Notes feild from the Visit screen to the Service Ticket Screen.

Dear All,

what I need to get is, trying to create notes for each visit, (visible on the service ticket screen).

I have created the Field for notes in the Visits work centre. [check : Visit Notes.png]

Now, I've notice that the Service Ticket screen already has options for recording each visit for the same service ticket. [Check : Service Ticket Screen .png]

what I now need is the same custom field that I've created, to be visible in the Service ticket screen below the visit tab. [Check : Service Ticket Screen 2.png]

I've attached the image files in this post.

Please help me with this ASAP.

Dear Preethi,

Thank you for your quick reply on the same, here is the difficulty that am facing

am able to view the field in the Visits Screen, Extension Fields: [ check : Visits notes 2.png]

but when I go to the Service Tickets Screen and in the same Adaptation Mode,
this option is not visible. [check :  Service Ticket Screen 3.png]

Hi Abhijeet,

Have you already added the extension scenario? If not you need to follow the steps below

1. In the first screenshot, when you select the field, there is a link called 'Further Usage' under it.

2. Go to the tab 'Extension Scenarios'.

3. Select the scenario you want i.e. Service Requests/ tickets (if available)

Hi Abhijeet,

As per my knowledge using adapt mode you can not copy or read data from 1 business object into other business object.

Also Note field is not simple data type and you can not add through Adapt mode.

As per your requirement you want to copy Visit Note text into Service Ticket and this is possible through SDK as per my knowledge.

I understand what exactly you are trying to do but as per my knowledge this is not possible.

Hey I just checked, the Service Request scenario from the visit screen is not available. So what you are requesting is not possible.

Hi Abhijeet,

I have never used TextCollection as a element into Enhance standard BO but you can try:

1) Add element TextCollection into Service Ticket BO

2) Once you add In AfterModify event on Service Ticket Read the Visit ID and read Notes for that Visit and assign to this custom fields.

Hi Abhijeet,

In the Adapt mode, select the custom field you created and choose the link Further Usage.

Then navigate to the tab 'Extension Scenarios'. Choose the scenario where you want your field to be visible.

If the scenario you want does not exist in the list provided, then there is no way that this can be done.

But please do check If this works.
