Japanese Character Issue

We are facing an issue with crystal reports, the Japanese data is displayed in crystal as some unknown garbage values.

While referencing at the backend the data seems fine, it’s in crystal that this values get distorted. As a work around we tried changing the fonts and changing the preferred viewing local of the report to Japanese but the issue still persists.

The crystal version we are using is SAP BO Crystal Reports 2013 SP 3 Patch 4.

Could you please provide us any insight on the same and guide us if we are missing on anything.
