If your delta field is BUDAT (i.e. date) you can do delta extractions only once per day. This is normal behaviour.

    • OK, here's how delta works.

The delta in your datasource is based on BUDAT field. What this means is, the datasoource will use this field to identify changing records.

So let's say you ran the init delta yesterday, and assume the upper safety limit of 1 day. Yesterday was 17 May, so the init delta would pull all records that have the BUDAT <= 16 May (because of safety limit).

Now let's say you change the BKPF data and run the delta load today. This time, it will pull all records that have BUDAT between 16 May and 17 May. That previous sentence is very important and is the main cause for all the confusion around generic delta - if the BUDAT isn't between those two dates (i.e. previous delta load and current delta load), then regardless of what changes have been done to the record, it will not be picked up!

The BUDAT field is the only way the datasource knows what has changed - as you have not updated this field while making changes to BKPF, the changes will not be picked up through delta. Again, this is normal behaviour.

    Hi Masoumeh,

Initialization has been done with full infopackage and DTP. why not try checking it by changing the mode to delta ?

If even after changing to delta, if there is no change, please let me know.

    Hi Sojoudi,

Have you create Generic delta based on Table or Function module or infoset,

Once do change in table level it will effect datasouce level,

Generi delta based on fields (TIME CALDAY NUMARIC) it will capture delta based,

PSA( DATA Source ) in ECC6 side what do changes when replicate in BI side only it will effect,

RSA7 is delta queues it capture only Delta records and we can see how many records capture.

    Thanks,
    Ram'S
