    MRP types are varying based on business to business.

    Normally in manufacturing process you can use MRP types as PD - Demand based planning;

    VB - Reorder level planning and ND - No demand planing.

    All PD type materials requirement will flow from Maintenance Orders, Net works, etc...If there is a demand then system generates the P.R for those demanded Qty.

    All VB type materials are CRITICAL spares and consumables, where these requirements comes form the consumption pattern.Here we need to set the re order levels & Maximum stock levels so that system will generate P.Rs based on the Reorder levels.

    All ND type will not have any Requirement planning, these requirement needs to be raised manually.

    All these MRP types are functioning based on "Lot size".This lot size is used in planning to calculate the quantity to be procured.
