Relation between table record count in the table and memory size

Hi,

In HANA db, considering the HOT,WARM and cold storage concept, I had deleted the historic data from the infoproviders using Selective deletion methodolgy. Even after deleting the records, i have not seen any change in either table memory size or the DB size.

Please explain the relation between the table record count and the table memory as well as database memory size. Is there any step, we have to execute before checking the memory size of table and the Database.

Thanks and regards,

Haripriya

    Hi Haripriya,

You cannot notice the Table Memmory size immediately after the data deletion, it will take some time to see the effect. definetly you will find a difference in memory size after some time

    Thanks & Regards
