Storage Location Determination issue at Delivery

Hi,

I have read plenty of threads on the determination of Storage location at Delivery level but was not able to understand the system behaviour based on the information available.

My client has 5 storage locations for finished goods that are placed in unrestricted locations (FG01, FG02, FG03, FG04 and FG05).

In OVL3 i have given the default storage location as FG01 against my shipping point and Plant combination. In 0VLP, i have enabled the check box "Determine Storage Loc".

Now material M1 and batch B1 are available with qty 50 in FG01 and 25 in FG02.

Following are my queries:

1. When I create a sales order for 75, delivery is made only for 50 from FG01 and does not consider FG02. If stock is not available in FG01, system considers 0 stock in delivery but does not read FG02 storage location. (Does placing the storage location in OVL3 prevent system from reading available qty from other s.locs?)

2. If i remove the "determine s.loc" tick in 0VLP and make the s.loc blank in OVL3, then system considers all s.locs. However my client requirement is to read only from FG01 to FG04 and should not consider CS01. Is there any possible way to restrict a particular s.loc from delivery? I have tries using user exit but was informed that giving an error message in delivery change will give an ABAP dump which is an SAP loophole. Can I get a suggestion on how to handle this?

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

I have another observation. When I create delivery using STO PO, the storage location in header item is not determined and is blank. However in the Batch split item the storage location is determined. Here the system fetches stock from which ever location stock is available.

For example, if i maintained in OVL3 the storage location as FG01 but stock is not available in FG01 but available in CS01, then system fetches CS01 in delivery along with delivery qty.

Can anyone suggest if this can be restricted for VL10B deliveries such that system allows only storage location from OVL3 and not from any other location?

Thanks & Regards,

Hai Rohan,

To restrict a particular storage location in delivery.

MM02

MRP4

Material - plant - storage location

Storage location MRP (tab)

SLoc MRP indicator - 1 Storage location stock excluded from MRP

This stops ATP in sales order itself and not gives the qty in delivery.
