Location Code WOs

Hi Experts,

As we know that the location code in WOs get populated from Functional location Master Data.Now we have a situation where we  would like to Delete some location code from the Configuration.But sytem is not allowing us to delete the location code from the Configuration as it is being used in WOs.

Can we replace these location code with the new one.I do not want to open all the WOs & change inside that which have been generated since many years.

Is any way forward to replace the Location codes with new one in all closed WOs without going in WO change mode.

You can do this from IW38 menu. Select all Orders and then Go to menu

Order > Carryout Mass change > Location tab

Take Location field to the left and click on Green tick. you'll get this screen for specifying New values.
