Project Transaction for Sales / Purchase Orders

Is there a way to see project transactions with sales / purchase orders.  Right now I can only see invoice documents in the report. Here’s the steps I’m taking…

I have defined a project under the following window…   Administration --> Setup --> Financials --> Projects

I then create purchase orders and sales orders and link them to the project by filling out the BP Project field under the account tab.

Then I run a project transaction report under:  Financial --> Financial reporting --> Accounting --> Transaction Report

I am trying to see project profitability regardless of whether a sales / purchases have reached the invoice level yet.  Is there a built in function for SAP to do this or does it require a query?

As Purchase orders aren't financial transactions, they won't appear in that report. A query would be required, or you could try using Drag & Relate functionality?

Drag the project code over the Purchase orders to get a list of PO's associated with that project
