Explosive BOM

Hi Experts,

I have configured BOM transfer, i created Material BOM maintained reference point for all material and maintained reference point in network activity also. then i gone through CN33 transferred material to project.

• What are the next steps i have to do.
• Is there any procurement process with this explosive bom.
• How we can use this explosive bom for project.

Please suggest......

By performing BOM transfer you have automatically attached components to the network activities.  Now the configuration on how components are handled takes over.  You can have PR's created automatically, or have reservations that feed in to MRP, or etc.

Hi Siddhu,

1)Further steps:-

After CN33, Go to CJ20N and Click on BOM of activity ->General data-> Procurement type->Reservations are created.Change the status to Release & Save. Do the MRP Run using MD51 with activating "With Hierarchy"field ,enter & save. Go to MD04 transaction , PR & Planned orders are generated.

2)Purchasing :-

Convert PR to Purchase order in MD04 transaction.

3)Explosion of BOM happens during MRP Run and it is used in ETO scenario.
