Asset Link with equipment

Dear Experts,

There is one requirement of ASSET linking with EQUIPMENT master.when ever any equipment is scrapped plant maintenance preventive maintenance schedule has to be stopped automatically.

how to implement this process ? can anyone give me the idea.
