Change in personnel subareas and change in absence quotas

Each personnel area has different leave policy that is

Sick leaves and casual leaves are for Gujarat Personnel Subarea

Sick leaves , earned leaves and casual leaves are for Head Office

So whenever there is a change in personnel subarea when user do transfer action There is collision

between leaves For example In Gujarat Personnel Subarea If he is having total casual leaves are 10 Out of

which he utilized 5 leaves Those 5 remaining leaves where we need to show How it is going to carry farward and If he is transferred to Head office His new will generate what is the best solution and the process that we follow for this scenarios

To fix up this requirement , you will have to configure in below steps:

    1. Define Abs Types (V_T554S) : SL, CL to PSA -GUJ (say 01)
    2. Define Abs Types : SL, EL , CL to psa -HO (say 02)
    3. Group Personnel Subareas for Time Quotas (V_001P_I) - map PSA 01 to PSG 01 and PSA 02 to PSG 02
    4. Define Absence Quota Types (V_T556A) : ESG : 1, PSG : 01 (for GUJ), Abs Quota tyep : 10 (SL), and maintain other fields as per the need, Do it same as per EL, CL by coping it and give PSG as 02 (for HO)
    5. define in Set Base Entitlements with two different PSA for 01 and 02
    6. map both PSA with PSG as return value in QUOMO feature.
    7. do other config in Rules for Generating Absence Quotas as per the need.

Do testing by doing transfer of the employee from PSA 01 to 02 and check in CDV system first.

Hope this will clear your doubt.

      Hi Priya,

I think your requirement is very much clear that for both PSA, leave policy is different and quota is also different, and also EL is not available to PSA-Guj,

That is my guess, correct me if i am wrong to understand your requirement.

All the best for your further config.

    Hi Priya,

I have the below question regarding this.

    1. Casual Leave & Sick Leave quota amount is common for accross the company.

    2.Are you running time evaluation?

    3. If employee transfer from Gujrat to HO then he will be eligible for EL quota?

    4. If employee transfer from HO to Gujrat then he will be used to his rest EL on that time?

Briefly describe your requirement that we can give a good idea about design.

It appears you are referring to absence quota and not leave request (also called or known as leave request).

If the rules and requirements of the absence quota types (e.g. sick leave quota for Gujarat and that for HO) are different, and one person can have both at a point of time, then it is recommended or even required that the two abs quota types are configured as separate absence quota types. However absence type can be one only for Sick leave which is deducted from the earliest of both Sick leave absence quota types. Similarly another absence type for Casual leave (deducted from the earliest of both Casual leave absence quota types).

You may probably define as below

    a)abs quota types

    40 Casual Leave HO

    41 Casual Leave Guj

    50 Sick Leave HO

    51 Sick Leave Guj

    b)absence (or leave) types

4000 Casual Leave (debited to abs quota types 40, 41)

5000 Sick Leave (debited to abs quota types 50, 51)

Now you can have absence quota generation rules separately for each abs quota type and limit entitlement or c/f as required. Both are also shown separately in PT50. In payslip, you may show the balances separately or combine the balances for each set of CL & SL quota types, depending on business requirements.

    Hope this helps

      Hi Jagan,

Thank you for valuable info. For both areas there are limitation of 15 casual leaves If employee utilized 5 leaves in one personnel sub area and he got transferred to another personnel sub area so in that case how we need to club leaves .
