In SAP7.4  can we USE field exit?

Or is it obsolete?

It's obsolete way before 740. But I believe you can still use it (doesn't mean you should).

BTW, this is the Field Exit FAQ Note

The note is valid for 740, so I can only assume it's still possible to use (again, you probably shouldn't).
