Experience with CCM 2.0

Hello all,

is there any experience with CCM 2.0?

We are at the moment on CCM 1.0 and wanted to upgrade to 2.0 but we get warning from one of the ramp-up companies that there are still mayor problems with it?

Only our sandbox CCM is on 2.0 but without any real data so this is more to show than to test.

What is the current development with that soulution of CCM?

    Hello Gordan,

We are currently under the same situation, this means we have CCM 1.0 and are evaluating to upgrade it to CCM 2.0. However we still have some doubts.

1)Do you have any documentation on the requisites for the upgrade from CCM 1.0 to CCM 2.0?

2)Do you know if is done like a normal upgrade or if it required a new installation?

3)Do you have any plan about it?

If you have it, i would appreciate if you can send it to me:

    Hi Gordan ,

If you compare 2.0 over 1.0 following are the differences or enhancementts:

    - Support for complex service specifications.

    - Support for supplier collaboration.

    - Interface with R/3 (ERP2005 onwards) for direct transfer of contracts.

    - Rule engine for view calculation.

    - Bulk editing of characteristics.

    - Item history of approval process.

    - Flexible selection for content approver.

    - Comparison facility for multiple catalog items.

    - Navigation through service specifications.

    - New context display for search reasults.

Of course I have not explored all of them.

At our site we are using CCM 2.0 for SSP with internal catalog (SRM_EXCTACTED_CATALOG)only.

    No major problems.
