Can we send a deletion query TR to quality when the same query is not present

Hi All,

I am facing a situation like I have to capture the bunch of deleted queries from dev through query designer and send the deletion TR to quality system. But some of the queries have already been deleted from quality system by some program say for ex RSZDELETE.

Now can I send the deletion TR to quality? will it fail for the reason of some of the elements are not present in quality system? Please give me a clarity on this task. Thanks!

Best Regards,

Ram

    Hi,

To my knowledge it wont be a problem, It will delete the captured object and object those are already not there will not cause issue.

Since there is low risk as request is deleting unwanted objects only, even though it fail, I will get my unwanted object as it is.

I will must give a try, and hope it will be fine.

    Thank-You.

    Regards,

    Hi Ram,

I didn't try it yet but I think an error will really occur if you send deletion TR request for objects that don't exist anymore..But I think there will be no problem since it will not affect anything..

To verify, just create a dummy query and transport to QA..Then delete the query in QA then transport at TR deletion for the dummy query..

    Hi,

Your just moving the objects for deletion. so there is no risk here.

You can transport your TR and check on it.

Due to version change if you got get any warnings, you can over write/ignore them.

at any cost you have to transport your TR. so Go ahead.

    Thanks

    Hi Ram,

It won't give any error for your transport. Please proceed with the below options when the transport is moving from one environment to another.
