Regarding data deletion from info-cube

Hi Experts,

I have to delete 4 records from Info-cube . When I delete these records , It is taking lot of time . At last , I cancel job is system.

I usually go to manage and then deletion selection .

Please help.

Selection deletion will take long time as it hits each and every record while deleting . What is the filter criteria you are using to delete ?

Try to delete using broader criteria like based on month ...etc..

Hi Devesh,

First delete the unused SID's using this FM 'RSDRD_DIM_REMOVE_UNUSED'.

After that using selective deletion option you can delete the required records from the cube.

before deleting the request please make it RED then delete it.   

form the your screen shot please check with the cube object consistency in RSRV.

I am not deleting request .

I am deleting particular records  from Info-cube by giving selection manually.

Hi Devesh,

Please check and let me know...In BW 7.4 whether you can create and activate a new infocube (Some Sample Infocube)...or try to re-activate an existing Infocube..Check whether its done successfully or not...

Do you have BWA indexes on the cube? If yes , uncheck the "Rebuild BWA indexes" box from deletion selection screen in the bottom. This will enable faster deletion, post deletion re-create the idexes separately.

BWA Indexes is not created yet on info-cube .

ALso I am using BW 7.4 version.

1.whether this issue is coming after upgrade to BW 7.4 and was it working fine before

2.check consistency of cube in RSRV

This is Fresh system, No upgrade activity is done yet .

And I am getting error while testing in t-code RSRV for same info-cube
