SAP Lumira Desktop edition could not be able to find existing .UNX Universes

Hello All,

I am getting a strange issue whicle trying to access the .UNX Universes from SAP Lumira Desktop edition. I could log into the Repository from Lumira without error but could able to see the created Universes which I could see in CMC as well as in Web Intelligence in BI Launchpad. Herewith I am attaching the screen shot. Kindly share your knowledge to help me out of it.

Couple of suggestions:

  1. Do you see the UNX when you try to use the query panel extension (To enable: Open Lumira Desktop->Go to File->Extensions->SAP Universe Query Panel)
  2. From your screenshot I see that the entire list is blank (at least you should be seeing the default UNVs), which makes me doubt whether Lumira Desktop made a proper connection with your Platform (though without any errors).
    1. Can you give a try on a different machine?
    2. If the above step works - try to re-install Lumira.

Hello Preethi,

It is "Administrator" so no problem should happen with it although I am not sure yet.

Quick q - what version is your BI Platform?  inc. SP and Patch level

Hello Henry,

SAP Lumira:

It is Version: 1.25.1

Build: 24

BI Platform:

Version: BO4.1.

Service Pack: 5

I guess we have not impletented any patches for this.

If you haven't applied any patches please go up to at least patch 3; the base SP05 had errors in when connecting to Lumira/BI Platform - it wouldn't stop you but you see errors

I could see only Patch 2 in Service Market Place.

For server side BI4.1 SP05 I see "SBOP BI Platform Servers 4.1 SP05 Patch 5 - Update"  - please check again at support.sap.com/swdc

If you do not see the patches Tammy is recommending, please get in touch with your SAP Sales rep / account manager / contact.
