Planned Value showing Zero after RUN AFAR

Hi Expert,

while doing changing Asset Master Data, i.e Dep Key and Useful Life say 7.6 years, system not showing the amount for For fiscal year 2014, while Book value is. 109503.46 earlier useful life 20 Years Dep Start Date 04.08.2007  Acqustion Value was 351520/-.

i have made Dep Key see the screen shot below

we have already Posted the Depreciation Till 31st march 2013. now for we have to Depreciate after change of Asset life 7.6 years and this asset will be write of the same year because no value reamain till 2014. and amount should be post 109503.46 while change Master data system will not showing the amount 109503.46 Planned Value.. we have done AFAR for particular asset to Recalulate.. but system showing no error na ll. kindly help.

Pranav,

you have to reassign asset useful life and period in master data by AS02. If you need to change depreciation key you have to use a linear key (like LINA, LINB...).

Pranav,

Please go to ANLB table and check Period Scale (Field PERFY). If it is 365 then your previous depreciation key had "Dep to the Day" calculation. If it is 12 then this check was not flagged.

System won't allow to change from 365 to 12 and vice versa. Please use a depreciation key with similar check. If you still need to change it, ask ABAPer to develop a small utility to make this change. You will need to run AFAR after the said change.

In this case check if a asset transfer is more suitable. Prepare a new master data in AS01 properly and go to ABUMN in order to transfer values from old to new asset records.

Check the remaining useful life and period in new asset before post.
