Info package Pseudo Delta

Hi All,

I am new to BW and i am implementing generic extractor with table where i am facing a problem with delta. The table is MCHA and here i have created and changed dates and i am confused how to implement delta for it as we have only one delta option in RSO2. As someone suggested, can we do something at infopack level to make the full as delta? I know we can do FM, but my TL was against it, he wants me to do something on BW side. Please let me know if anthing can be done friends !!!

Thanks,

Ramarao

    Hi Rao,

You can do it at the infopack screen also but better to do it at FM level as others said. In the InfoPackage selections, add next line for the date field and In that line, give 0 and in the other line give 7, then Click on the button next to the "7", a popup will appear asking you to input an OLAP variable. Enter 0DAT in the popup as the OLAP variable, and that contains current date. Please find this pic below for better understanding..

    Hi Vasanth,

You can overcome by going with FM based datasource extraction; Since, you're asking pseudo delta i.e. at infopackage level, we can achieve this by writing routine at infopackage, with this you populate selections dynamically like extracting only Current month/Today & Yesterday data based on your data flow/requirement you can write logic here as you wish.😊

Let me know if you've any concerns.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Harish
