Failed to see the query output though the data present at MP level.. Need inputs

Hello Guys,

I've executed 2 queries but couldn't able to see the outputs:

It says " Data not available may be due to filters or selections"

1. Both the queries doesn't have any mandatory selections or Global filters.

2. The data is available in Multi Provider level on which these queries are built on but couldn't see the output:

Could anyone please give your inputs on how to resolve this.

Hi Rohit,

Are you sure queries do not have any selections or filters. Can you check the query in designer. If you have any filters or selections, check the data in Multiproivder with same selections.

Also run the query in RSRT.

Thanks for your reply and apologies for the delayed response.

I've checked in RSRT and I could see the output. I remember seeing the User authorization error which executing query designer.

There are no mandatory selections and no Global filters as well.

Hi Rohit,

You can check whether you have authorization to see the data or not in RSECADMIN t/code, you need to run the report with your user ID by checking check box with log option. You can go through the log to find the root cause. Also request your colleagues to run same query in your system, if any one can run query without any issues, compare that colleague's roles with your's. Take the help of security team to add the missed role to you.

You can see the roles that are assigned to your user ID in SUIM t/code.

Check the technical spec of that query for roles that needs to be assigned to access the data.

Hi,

On which targets your multi provider built on?

Can you check at connected targets like DSO/Cube loaded request have reporting symbol? or have any failed request at cube/dso levels?

Can you check data thru LISTCUBE.

if data available at targets then try to regenerate your bex query from RSRT and later run thru bex analyzer.

Are you sure about there is no conditions/filters/restrictions/variables at bex level?

Thanks for your reply and apologies for the delayed response.

Multi providers is built on 4 info cubes and i see data in all those IC's and reporting symbol is also appearing in all the cubes.

Checked through listcube and i can see the data.

I could also see the data through RSRT.

There are no mandatory selections and no Global filters as well.

The main error is: when I execute through bex, it says User authorization error. and below it says "Data not available may be due to filters or selections"

I could able to execute other reports too and have problem with only this report.

and i am wondering if I don't have authorizations for this report alone, how come i am able to execute through RSRT.

Question:

How to find out if I have authorization for this report alone? How to check the authorizations.

About authorisations, you can seek basis/security team help.

Mean while use Tx - SU53.

Try to run same report with collegue(who ran report in the past) credentials and see. whether it gives the data or not.

Have you ran this report before?

if yes then can you run at dev system and check it.

Thanks for your reply.

The issue is clearly with authorizations. I don't have authorizations to values of 5 of the chars in that report. Therefore, I couldn't able to view the output.

Please execute same report in RSRT.

And search for "Text symbols:" after this text , you can see for what selections query has been executed.
