Deleting Configuration for a sales organization from Development Client

Former Member

Hi Gurus,

Need your help in sorting this one.

I would need to delete the entire configuration in the Development Client for a particular sales organization, let's say EUR1 as this is now out of scope.

But I have copied this config using SCC1 into the Development - Unit Testing client. Also, I have created lots of master data, billing and accounting documents for this Sales Organization EUR1.

Now since this sales organization is out of  scope, I am asked to delete the config  from SAP. Could you all give me the steps I need to perform to delete this Sales Organization Config from Development system.

Thanks  in advance.

Hi Expert Singh,

You may want to first remove all the assignments and then delete the Sales orgnaization. If you have data (sales orders, invoices, business partners, materials in this sales org, then am not sure about it.

Archive them, first and try the deletion.

Please have some helpful info in the below link

Hello Singh,

Are you sure on this??

if yes then delete/Remove entries by using below steps for the sales organisation EUR1 combination

1.Remove OVAZ all settings for EUR1

1.1 Assign Sales order types permitted for sales ares

     1.2 Combine divisions

     1.3 Combine distribution channels

     1.4 Combine sales organizations

* we can control all sales transaction by removing document types

2.OVFL-Assign sales area to credit control area

3.OVX6--Assign sales organization - distribution channel - plant

4. OVXJ- Assign sales group to sales office

5.OVXM-Assign sales office to sales area

6.OVXG- sales area  combination

7.OVXA-Assign division to sales organization

8.OVXK-Assign distribution channel to sales organization

9.OVX3-Assign sales organization to company code

10.Even though Master data is already existed for EUR1 sales organisation it will not work

11.if you want to delete sales document/Delivery/Billing document types you can delete it for the sales organisation EUR1 combination eventhough if you leave it also no impact on the other sales organisations.

Based on Approvals everything save in new transport request then move to testing client(SCC1) start testing.

Thanks,

Krishna.

Thanks Krishna.

How should I take  care  of the data created against EUR1 in the DEvelopment - Unit testing client. Because  I guess we  first need to delete/archive  the  sales and billing/accounting documents before deleting the configurations? Isn't it?

How should we get rid of all the Sales/Billing and Accounting documents?

Thanks in advance

Hello Singh,

1.Where you want to delete all entries Unit or development or both clients?

2.If you want delete or reset all the documents entries  means you need follow the entire reverse process ( cancel all the account documents / Billing/Reverse PGI /Delete deliveries/Delete sales orders...) its a lengthy process and also FI/MM consultants should involve in this.

3.you need to check with backdated postings with FI and MM consultants.

4. It depends upon the number entries and time period (from which date onward you created)to reset all the documents and then delete the configuration is a good idea but in fact its not require to delete all the entries because I hope you done everything in testing clients not in a live system.

Thanks,

Krishna.

I presume, the requirement from your client would have been NOT to create any transactional data for that sales organization in which case,  what I would suggest is not to delete / reverse all transactional data.  Let it be there.  Just remove the configuration settings related to that sales organization and once you complete this process, create a test data for that sales organization to ensure whatever you done is correct.
