Hi,

I installed following DSO's from Business content
/IMO/FIAR_D30
/IMO/FIAP_D30

I could see in data flow that there are info sources in the data flow. There are no routines connected to first layer of dso to info source. I dont understand y SAP has given infosource in between. Is there any specific reason why sap put inforsource in data flow?

And

Why there are small boxes beside the DSO's ?

Thanks in advance

Sri

Hello ,

I presume that small box beside DSO is for showing that its not an Advanced DSO..

Hi Sri,

as you have discovered all the transformation logic is only applied between the InfoSource and the EDW Core DSO in the HANA-optimized BI Content.

This makes it very flexible for you to connect multiple source systems or to add additional inbound DSOs (e.g. write optimized DSO) with the content data flow without the need to care about the transformation logic.

Also, if you need to change the trasnformation logic, you only change it once in the transformation between the InfoSource and the EDW Core DSO.

Another reason: You can activate the BW transformations between InfoSource and EDW Core DSO - which holds the entire transformation logic - without the need to connect a physical source system.

Hope this explains it...

Best regards,

Andreas
