hi friends

my client is using linux with AS400 server.we want to install netweaver04. Does anyone out there has any experience in running Netweaver in AS400 with AIX?

What would be the pain points in migrating from AS400 (Linux) to AS400 (AIX)?

Hi Srinivas,

There is a big difference between Linux and AIX. Linux is an open source and AIX is an IBM developed version of unix. I would suggest that you research which version of Linux and AIX are supported on AS400/iSeries.

All the supported DB/OS combinations are in the SAP NetWeaver Product availability matrix on the SMP (http://service.sap.com/PAM).

I don't have any experience of the migration on AS400/iSeries so I'll leave that part to others on SDN.

Hope this helps,

Mike.

Hi Srinivas,

are you referring to SAP NetWeaver 2004s or to SAP NetWeaver04?
