Issue while creating negative stocks

Hello,

I have done the requirement setting for negative stocks in system in OMJ1 for plant 1000 ans storage location 0001. Also i have maintained indicator negative stocks in plant in material master. Now when i am trying to issue goods by 201 movement it is giving me error "deficit of quantity in storage location"" Actually it should allow to do negative stock posting with these settings. Please guide me if i am missing anything.

Looks like your setting for negative stock allowed is conflicting with your setting of dynamic availability check. An availability check does not make much sense if you allow negative stocks.

I have also tried to use 311 mvt to check negative stock. For 311 mvt dynamic availability check is not set. In this case also i am getting same message and not able to post negative stock.

and the error message talks about plant 1100

This is the case with both the plants. I have shared screenshot for plant 1000 too now. Please let me know if any other information is required.

There must be an inconsistency between your customizing setting and master data entry and the movement, as there is in general not more that need to be done as you already said, it seems to be equal to what is documented in Allowing Negative Stocks - Inventory Management and Physical Inventory (MM-IM) - SAP Library

So can you post the customizing and material master.

I am not on a system today, but you had not shown a screenshot from customizing with the folder of the plant. Can you please check if there is as well a box to tick.

Yes, I am using same system. Not sure but I think there may be some system message which is taking priority over standard setting.

I have checked it for both plants and it is giving same message.

weird, can you test how SAP does after you changed message M7021 to be a warning message.

System is allowing to post negative stock after changing this message to W from E. For plant which doesn't have negative stocks allowed indicator in configuration, system is giving error message.
