Email Notification - Change Texts - How extract texts?

I need to change the standard UME Notificatiion email texts. I have found the relevant entry in help.sap.com, where it specifies the following procedure.

How, with what tool, do I extract the files I need from the file name specified in the procedure below? I an NW developer studio novice, can someone supply step by step guidance or a reference.

1.Create a file for the language you require, and enter the texts that you wish to use for notification e-mails.

We recommend that you copy an existing file and modify it as required. To modify an existing file, proceed as follows:

a.On the file server, navigate to:

<installation-drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\<Instance_ID>\SDM\root\origin

\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.sda\SAP AG\

where <version_number>is the highest version number in the directory.

b. <b>From the file com.sap.security.core.offline.sda, extract the file com.sap.security.core.jar.</b>

c. <b>Extract the file notificationTexts_<language>.properties where <language> is the language that you want to change.</b>
