SAP Hana Life cycle manager tool not starting

Hi Team,

I have installed SAP HANA SP9 DB build 91, I am not able to access Hana Life cycle manager through studio.

I am getting below error

com.sap.ndb.studio.lcm.upd.ui.internal.control.RemoteStartException: Cannot determine Software Update Manager for SAP HANA SP number.

Software Update Manager for SAP HANA cannot be started remotely.

Hi Deerendra,

please check SAP note 2078425 - Troubleshooting note for SAP HANA platform lifecycle management tool hdblcm

In my case I had to reconfigure the SAP Host Agent as described in the note:

To update the integration of hdblcm on the SAP HANA host, run the following command:

<sapmnt>/<SID>/hdblcm/hdblcm --action=update_host

PLEASE BE AWARE that the HANA database might stop aumatically when running the command!

Restart SAP Host Agent

/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saphostexec -restart

Afterwards I was able to start the SAP HANA Platform Lifecycle Management within the HANA studio.

Hi Andre,

had the same problem like Deerandra after reinstalling the HANA. Couldnt start the HLCM from the Studio. Your steps to reconfigure the SAP HOST Agent really helped me.

Could you try restarting your host agent and check if it will launch the LCM
