DMO cannot be used cross Datacenter (Note #2277055)

The approach no.2 below shows

Perform EHP7 upgrade and HANA migration using DMO --> Move to Cloud

But the Note 2277055 clearly says:

There are some limitations to use DMO across data centers is not supported.

There are no technical restrictions, but it comes with a high performance and latency impact.

You my use it at your own risk. No support is provided in case of performance issues or broken procedures due to network/latency issues.

Need to know if network bandwidth will make smooth migration.

Also can this approach is still valid and used (with some precautions)

Any approach is good as long as the client is fine with downtime window.

1. Move existing landscape to cloud --> Perform EHP7 upgrade and HANA migration using DMO

2. Perform EHP7 upgrade and HANA migration using DMO --> Move to Cloud.
