Production Version, Group & Alternate BOM field Mandatory

Dear Team

Please guide how I can make the below mention field mandatory while creation/maintaining the production version via MM02/MRP4 View/production Version or C223.

1) Alternative BOM

2) Detailed Plng grp

I need this have a control while master creation. Currently I can able to create the production version without this 2 field. Please guide how I can make this field mandatory.

Dear Girish,

You need to check the Exits and BADIs. You can use them to make fields mandatory.

Another option - if you are using persona screens, then you can set field restrictions over there directly.

I dont have personna but wish to adopt it. If possible for this case. Please guide step by step. Will try to use it.

Dear Girish,

Persona installation is altogether a different subject and is a pure basis activity.

But, once that's installed, you can go to T-code SICF. The service name "MAINAPP" will be enabled. You can run the same and the persona page will be opened.

You can do anything on it and is good to have. If you want to make a field mandatory, you can do it as below:

When you choose a filed and click on * icon, the field (Key Date) is set as mandatory. If you want to remove it, click on * again.
