Hi All

In Compliance workbench, there is column Type which says component is Designed or Purchased.

How it is derived here , mean to say how we can say component is Designed or Purchased.

What are the system settings  required to derive it.

Thanks & Regards

Satish

Hi Satish,

If a component has a basic material / surface composition it is flagged as Design Part. If a component has supplier parts below it is flagged as Purchased Part.

Hello Andreas

Thanks for your reply.

Regarding the second part of the answer, how can we say that materials are purchased part.

Is that in MRP view we need to set the procurment indicator ?

Thanks & Regards

Hello Satish,

Typically by transferring a component with purchasing information into EHSM by using the BOMBOS transfer.

BOMBOS will evaluate purchasing information (e.g. purchasing info records) and create supplier parts (own entities) in EHSM below the purchased component.

MATNR_X (Purchased component)

      -> Supplier Part A (Supplier A)

     -> Supplier Part B (Supplier B)

Hello Andreas

Thanks for your reply.

You mean to say that, if there are 5 suppliers listed in the Purchase Info records

once the transfer is done then there will be suppler parts (CDO objects) created in the

product structure.

Any material which is having purchase info record or  source list maintained can be termed

as Purchased part.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Satish,

Yes, this is right, just with the exception that source lists are not considered in the BOMBOS standard user exit implementation (see FM EHPRC_CP_BB20_SUBBOM_PROCURE) - only PIRs and AMPLs.
