View usage statistics

Are HANA view usage statistics kept anywhere similar to BEx queries in BW?  What I'm looking for is the name of the view, the user who queried it, and how long it took.  It looks like I can enable SQL Trace to do this, but it isn't recommended to leave it on, so I need an alternative method.

Nope, there is nothing like that in SAP HANA.

Be aware that BEx Queries and SQL/HANA view queries really are different concepts.

As you need to consume your data somehow anyway, I'd look into wether your query tool of choice keeps track of those numbers and use these instead.
