When to use Segments instead of Multi-Branches and vice versa???

Dear Experts

When we should use Segmented Chart of Account instead of Multiple Branches in SAP Business One 9.1 and vice versa.

If you only cares about Accounting side, then segment might be enough for you.

But if you care about operation side, such as separating user from different places, then it is better to use Branch, since you will be able to limit user to access certain branches.

Dear Frank

I am sure even from accounting point of view segments will make the chart of account multiple as each will be created for each segments, where as in case of multiple branches an account will be created only once. This will make COA more manageable...
